ELECTRONIC MUSIC

INSIDE

QUADROPHONIC (1981/82)

This music is based on electronic and instrumental sounds. They are introduced as individual sounds, and as the composition progresses, they are increasingly altered and mixed together to form larger sound spaces. The duration of the piece is the result of the development from thematic groups to sound surfaces, which evoke a change in the perception of time and space. The use of instrumental sounds and their electronic transformations give “Inside” a surrealistic character.

Instrumental sounds: piano, violin, cello. The electronic sounds were produced with an Arp synthesizer. The technical realisation took place in an analogue multi-track studio.
