Six Sketches is a compositional commentary on a painting by the German painter Hans Hofmann, who became known primarily in the United States in the mid-20th century. This was less about an interpretation of the content and more about a musical representation of the effect of the painting on me. The visibility of the process of creation was essential. Fierce action and calm, as well as colorful density and monochrome surfaces contrast with each other.
