DIE BEFRISTETEN

CONCERTANTE RADIO PLAY FOR SPEAKERS AND ENSEMBLE (2013)

You said my name is seventy because I will live to be seventy. You said your name is thirty-two because you must die at thirty-two.

(the boy)

Die Befristeten (Their Days are Numbered) after Elias Canetti is a concert radio play in which the text is to merge with the music to form an artistic unity. The idea is not a staged realization, but a concert situation in which the scenes are spoken by actors. The music-historical form of the melodrama works well as a concert radio play.
